Good morning and Happy Hump Day! First things first, I want to wish my friend A a very Happy Birthday! I look forward to seeing her tonight at her birthday dinner. Here we are at Cinco De Mayo a couple of years ago:

So, I can tell you that hair color and iPads don’t mix. Check out what happened yesterday:

I guess I touched my hair while the stylist was adding the color and then touched the iPad cover. Thankfully none got on the actual iPad. Oops. I am heading to the Apple Store Friday for an iPhone5 workshop, so I will be buying a new cover then.
After getting my hair colored, I came home and went straight to my workout. First up was two sets of this arm workout:

Next up was a 12 minute H.I.I.T. elliptical workout:

Updated 2-17-2013: Depending on the machine you are on, change the intervals up. Maybe do 45 / 45 or 60 / 30. Some machines take longer than others to adjust. My machine increases intensity/difficulty immediately, incline in 5-10 seconds, and speed is solely up to me. You could also use a treadmill, arc trainer, or be running/walking outdoors. So many options for high intensity interval training!
By the time I finished, I was dripping with sweat. For the high intensity intervals, I increased the incline and resistance and then went all out of 30 seconds. This could easily be adapted for a treadmill, arc trainer, etc.

Enjoy your day!

looks like a great workout! i def like the elliptical, although i don’t get on it as much as i should!! spa love and happy wednesday!
Woah, I am so glad that the hair dye didn’t actually get on the iPad!!!!!!!! The elliptical workout is actually one I am going to try this week, thanks for posting it!
Nice workouts! I may have to give those a try!
Thanks for the birthday wishes! I’m so excited about dinner with everyone tonight!
The only problem with the 30 sec intervals is that it takes most machines about 8 seconds to bump the speed up. That’s why intervals aren’t easy on elipticals. Easier on treadmill cos you can put the speed on high and hop off the edge to recover. I’d suggest trying 45 seconds on/off to really bump up the burn

Those look like great workouts! I have done HIIT and I love it! I like the Tone It Up girls’ HIIT workouts, and I think tabata counts, too. CrossFit is a similar HIIT-type workout…I love it!
I love hiit workouts they always make the workout go by so fast!
Loving the Smart Arms workout!
