Headaches, Pansies, & Shares . . .

by Glenneth on January 23, 2013

So, the best laid plans can be rudely interrupted. My intention was to come home from work Monday, workout, then attend a friend’s son’s 18th birthday dinner. That did NOT happen. I came home EARLY from work with a terrible headache. I took two Excedrin Tension Headache and immediately went to bed. Then the room started spinning. As long as I laid still with my eyes closed, it was bearable. I fell asleep for a while and when I woke up it was time to get ready for dinner. I changed back to going out clothes and all the movement made me nauseous. TMI Warning: I started throwing up and decided dinner was not happening for me. Changed back to my pjs and got back in bed for the evening. Seems my equilibrium must have been off.

Yesterday I felt better, but terrible back pains due to throwing up. I honestly have not been sick like that in quite a while. So yesterday I came home, did some studying, and relaxed. It still hurts some to breathe or laugh, but my headache seems to be gone.

Check out the pansy photos I took yesterday. This is Macro mode on my new camera. What do you think?

I wanted to share a post written by a friend of mine, Blake. He is a trainer in town and wrote this post:

5 Ways to Keep Your New Years Resolutions Going Strong

I LOVE his idea about doing squats throughout the day and may have to start doing that. You can follow him on Twitter or Facebook.

I also wanted to share this post from Provision Health and Wellness. This is the first of six blogs they are doing in a series. In this one, they offer six tips to help you stay consistent with fitness.

Be Consistent With Fitness

If you are in Knoxville and haven’t registered for Color Me Rad, they are SOLD OUT. Be sure and get on their waiting list as they may open up more slots.

Share something good with me! What’s the next race on your schedule?

Enjoy your day!

Hey Glenneth, I hope you start feeling better soon. I wonder what caused that head ache? Generally things happen for a reason. Get better soon. And yeah, I totally agree about the consistency thing. You HAVE to be consistent. BTW, I have gone to the gym today, and I am feeling pretty good. I am going to stick to visiting it at least 2 times a week. Let’s see where I get within the next 6 months!
