Good morning and HAPPY MONDAY! How was your weekend? Mine was FABULOUS! Loved the Color Me Rad 5K. Check out my race recap.
If there are any color races coming to your area, be sure and give it a shot! Such fun! This has made me even more excited about The Color Run in Nashville. Less than two weeks away now.
The weekend weather overall was kind of gloomy (and today looks to be rain all day), but check out these clouds yesterday:

Here was my workout schedule for last week and my results:
Monday – Walk a 5K on the treadmill – COMPLETE
Tuesday – Arms and a H.I.I.T Elliptical workout – COMPLETE
Wednesday – Strength Training Workout – DID NOT COMPLETE
Thursday – Walk 2 miles (outdoors if the weather cooperates) – COMPLETE
Friday – Rest Day
Saturday – Color Me Rad 5K – COMPLETE
Sunday – TBD – Used as a Rest Day
Overall, the week was successful. Wednesday was super hectic and I was sore from Monday and Tuesday. I took Sunday as a rest day because my calves were bothering me. My Fitbit said I climbed 34 flights of stairs during the race. That’s how hilly the Color Me Rad course was. I find my calves can be pain free longer on flat ground. Starting a race straight uphill was not fun for them. Again, so thankful that my friend L was willing to walk at whatever pace I needed.
Here is my workout schedule for the week:
Monday – Arms + 12 minute HIIT on the elliptical
Tuesday – Walk or Bike
Wednesday – Rest or Spinning
Thursday – Walk or Bike
Friday – Rest
Saturday – 1 mile+ fun walk while hubby runs a 10K + HOUSE CLEANING (entire house needs a deep cleaning)
Sunday – TBD
Don’t forget that registration for Tina’s Best Body Bootcamp ends next week on the 15th. Only $25. Worth every penny!
This is TESTING week for me. I am finally going to take my Google Certification exams. My boss thinks I am putting too much pressure on myself and wants me to go ahead and take them. If I pass, great – I’m done. If I don’t pass, I know the areas I need to study and I have a feel for the exam. Wish me luck.
Let’s Get Motivated
Today’s motivations are both simple guides to health. Getting healthy is really not rocket science and I think many of us made it harder than it really is. Eat right, move, drink water, and sleep. This is what I am concentrating on this week. Just the basics.
