Good morning! Can you believe we are 3/4 through 2012 already? Only 3 more months to go. Time has really flown by. These next three months will be crazy. For me they include:
- Color Me Rad 5K
- The Color Run 5K and trip to Nashville
- Google AdWords Certification exam
- Breaking Dawn Part II premiere
- Surgery
- Thanksgiving
- Recovery and Rehab from surgery
- Christmas
Yesterday I completed my 5K on the treadmill at Planet Fitness. I have never walked that far/long on a treadmill before. It was not near as nice as being outside, but I got it done. My leg was fine for the first half, but super sore by the time I finished. I should be fine for Saturday’s Color Me Rad 5K.

You might be asking why I wasn’t walking outside. Hubby had something to do yesterday evening so I was on my own. I just don’t feel comfortable walking outside by myself – especially for that long. In fact, just yesterday a female runner was attacked while running not far from our neighborhood. That’s one of the reasons why I joined Planet Fitness – to have options.
Check out the tote I carried yesterday. This is 31′s Cindy Tote in Dark Denim with Plum Rosette Clip and Timeless Wristlet in Patchwork Paisley (my new favorite print).

Be sure and check out: Girls Gone Sporty Ambassador Roundup – Can’t Leave Home Without It. We shared some of our must have workouts items.
A new month means it is time to update my 12 for 2012 todos, goals, and resolutions.
1 – Reduce spending by using up items we have before buying others.
*** I did buy my new iPhone, but I had planned on that all year. For the “regular” items we buy, I am doing pretty good. Not going to Target every weekend is helping and I try to go to the grocery store 3 times a month instead of 4. I will be extremely careful the rest of the year because there are always unexpected holiday expenses.
2 – Donate old/unwanted clothes/household items to KARM or Goodwill.
*** 7 bags donated to date. Must find time to go through our storage room and donate more.
3 – Complete a race longer than a 5K.
*** This one is complete!
4 – Save 10-15% of each paycheck. Now that I am back working full-time in a fairly stable job, time to start the savings again.
*** 9 months successful at this one. Every paycheck I have saved 15%. WOOHOO!!! Very proud of this.
5 – Try CrossFit and Spinning (at least once each).
*** As you know, I have tried Spinning and loved it. I have yet to try Crossfit and not sure I will this year.
6 – Become Google AdWords certified. Professional goal to help with my job.
*** Still in progress. Should be taking certification this month. Yikes. I take practice exams and do well, but really nervous about this one.
7 – Learn to cook one meal per season. As you know, I am not a cook. I would like to learn to cook one complete meal (edible and healthy) each season.
*** I did make hardboiled eggs in the oven from a pin I found on Pinterest. I then turned some into some healthy deviled eggs (no mayo). This is good for me – I love eggs, not so much for hubby – he hates them.
8 – Walk/Bike/Elliptical at least 500 miles. Last year I completed 450+, so I am adding 10% to that number.
*** Still behind on this one due to our lack of biking. January – September 2011 – 350 miles. January – September 2012 – 276 miles. With spinning, I have a chance to catch up. However, with possible surgery later this year, who knows. Still, a few years ago that number might have been 10. I have accomplished a lot.
9 – Utilize craft room (make handmade cards, gifts, etc).
*** The craft room has become my 31 storage and staging area. At least it is being used. And is fairly clean.
10 – Blog at least 5 times per week.
*** On track.
11 – At least 1 – 5 day vacation and 2 weekend getaways.
*** Folly Beach with Mom – check. 31 National Conference – check. October getaway to Nashville for The Color Run coming up later this month.
12 – Continue all goals to become healthy and get to feel great weight. These include logging what I eat on a regular basis, following my online personal trainer’s plans, and more.
*** Still making progress on this.
How are your 2012 goals coming?

I’ve got to get on the reduced Target shopping bandwagon! I swear I spend more time in that store each week than in my own home.
Great job on nailing your goals!
Thanks Angela! I have learned to stay out of Target unless supplies reach critical. Helps me save money!
